Tiara Chateau Hotel Mont Royal Chantilly, to give it its full title, is a lavishly beautiful, 5-star chateau hotel near Paris, France with a sublime hilltop setting overlooking the ancient royal hunting grounds of Chantilly Forest.
The chateau is quite a sight from the outside and was certainly built to impress. It is towering and commanding and yet elegant and refined.
The interiors are more simple and understated than you might expect for such a lavish building but have oodles of old style, Belle Epoque charm.
Their rooms and suites are suitably luxurious and elegant, and the hotel has superb facilities including a fine dining restaurant, a spa, a swimming pool, tennis courts, a pétanque course, and more, plus the surrounding forest is perfect for long leisurely strolls and cycles, with bikes being available from the hotel.
The Rooms:
They have a total of 108 sound-proofed rooms and suites at the chateau, all of which are doubles and range from classic rooms through executive and deluxe rooms right up to Royal/Presidential Suites.
They vary greatly in size from 25 to 115 m² but they all share the same sense of old-fashioned French style and class, with lots of period decor and very inviting marble bathrooms.
You can expect the best in modern 5-star facilities here too; Satellite TV & WiFi, video games, mini-bar, and 24-hour room service for example.

Facilities & Things to Do:
The chateau’s old ballroom is a very grand room which is now the dining hall for the L’Opéra Restaurant. L’Opera offers sophisticated fine dining and some of the best gourmet food in Chantilly.
For drinks and more excellent food, this time in a more informal atmosphere, there is the cosy and inviting Le Stradivarius Bar & Restaurant, plus many lounge areas and outdoor terraces where you can dine and drink overlooking the great green canopy of Chantilly Forest.
Other facilities include a tennis court, a top-of-the-range fitness centre and a beautifully relaxing spa centre which has a broad range of treatments, a sauna, and a swimming pool.
There are also tennis courts on the grounds but the most inviting activity at the chateau involves the surrounding ancient woodland.
There are many marked trails here and the forest is a blissfully peaceful place to explore, which you can do so on foot, by bike, or on horseback with mountain bikes available from the hotel and a horse riding centre nearby.
Location:
Tiara Chateau Hotel Mont Royal is of course near Chantilly, one of France’s most culturally important towns. Though it has a full-time population of just 11,000 it attracts many high-class visitors both from France and abroad.
It is a series of imposing chateaux, parks, gardens, a famous racetrack, and of course, the Forêt de Chantilly/Chantilly Forest which is the sublime setting for Chateau Hotel Mont Royal.
There are many other lovely towns in this area, after Chantilly the next most admired being probably the elegant medieval town of Senlis with its ancient Gallo-Roman ramparts, towering Gothic cathedral, and quaint cobblestone streets and alleys.
Central Paris is around 50km to the south with the journey taking less than 45 minutes depending of course on traffic.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is closer though, being less than twenty minutes away, and you can arrange transfers from the city centre, the airport, and from Chantilly (which has train links to Paris) via the hotel concierge before arrival.
