The enchanting Augill Castle Hotel has stood proud in Cumbria, England’s Upper Eden Valley, for nearly two hundred years and has some of the country’s loveliest rural regions at its doorstep – the North Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakeland Fells. Built in 1841, in the very popular (at the time) Neo-Gothic style, Augill Castle started life as a grand country retreat and is still as grand as ever in its present incarnation as a luxury hotel.
