Château de Cop-Choux is an atmospheric, authentic, late 18th-century château hotel lying between Nantes and Angers, on the old border between Brittany and the historical province of Anjou. It may be a little rustic for some but others will appreciate its homely, family-like atmosphere and its lovely sense of the past, two things that can be lacking in many of France’s more corporate château hotels; hotels that consciously aim to be more hotel than château. All of the rooms are very spacious and have a distinct old-fashioned elegance, with many classic decorative features. They generally eschew the modern (though there is WiFi, there is no TV or mini-bar, etc. for example) in favour of classic styling, though you may find the odd modern furniture piece looking slightly adrift here and there.
