Perched on a hilltop overlooking its 600 acre estate and vineyard Castello di Gabiano, near Casale Monferrato, Alessandria and Turin is an arresting sight at first glance.

We experienced the kindest hospitality by the local staff Irene and Simona, starting with great communication prior to our arrival, continuing with arranging a special opening of the local restaurant (3 Orlogi, which was very good and considered our dietary requests), and setting a truffle hunting experience followed by a wonderful wine tasting.
